PASIFIKA ROUNDTABLE
The Village Response Collective called for an all-of-government and community forum towards a holistic and strategic approach for community safety and wellbeing, outlined in the Village Response Plan (VRP) and Reintegration Pathway (2020/21). The well attended event was a collaborative effort with the Department of Justice and Community Safety and Victorian Multicultural Commission. Seventy participants were divided into groups to discuss the key focus areas gleaned from the VRP and Reintegration Pathway. The Pasifika Roundtable established the need for a Pasifika led organisation to represent the community at a strategic and operational level. Sentiments from both Government and community members indicated the Pasifika Roundtable as an inaugural event.
